This project included widening State Route 6 to accommodate a new center turning lane for approximately 1 mile east of Wellsboro. Drainage lines were extended to new edge of roadway, connecting to new drainage structures. Shoulders were widened to accommodate traffic through excavation and placement of subbase and over 10,000 tons of blacktop. Other work included epoxy bridge coating, guide rail improvements, and placement of a new 54 in. precast headwall.
